Hyderabad: Union Minister for Skill Development Jayant Chaudhary has suggested to Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy to establish a Center of Excellence to promote VFX, Gaming and Audio Visuals sectors in the Telangana State.
The Union Minister met with CM Revanth Reddy at the latter’s residence today. During the meeting , Jayant Chaudhary explained to the CM about the advantages of setting up a Centre of Excellence to hone the skills of the ITI students. The Chief Minister informed the Union Minister that a Center of Excellence will be set up in the Young India Skill University and connected with the ITI institutions in the state.
Jayant Chaudhary congratulated the Chief Minister on setting up the Young India Skill University. Thanking the union minister, CM Revanth Reddy requested him to support the Young India Skills University under the National Skill Training Scheme.
Responding to the suggestion made by the Union Minister to provide free power supply to all ITIs, the Chief Minister instructed the officials to set up solar power systems in the ITI institutions.
CM Revanth Reddy also ordered the officials to constitute a Special Committee to upgrade the syllabus of ITIs regularly and meet the growing needs of the technically advanced industry.
Special Secretary to the Chief Minister Ajith Reddy, CEO of Industries and Investments in CMO Jayesh Ranjan, Special Secretary to Industries Vishnuvardhan Reddy and the officials of the Central Skill Development Department are also present.
